EXHIBITION

I am SO proud to be a part of and have my work in this exhibition!

I believe that the antiquated stigma our society places on illnesses that can not be seen is a tragedy. Many people do not receive or even seek the treatment they need for fear of being ostracized by society, friends and family.

A person with diabetes takes medication and makes adjustments in their lifestyle to accomidate their illness without feeling any shame imposed by society. Mental illness more than deserves the same grace.

Who among us does not make adjustments in our life? It is part of survival and the human condition.

I feel privileged to do my best to be a voice for the voiceless and disenfranchised.

If you live in the Pittsburgh area please find time to experience an exhibition and a gallery that makes social awareness a priority!

Unearthed and Lydia

Barbie Transformations

This was one of the many phases of my first series of Barbie Transformations. Since this time both Unearthed and Lydia have changed significantly.

They are not in my possession at the moment but I wanted to put a preview of them on my website. Check back for updated photos of both when they come home from the gallery where they are currently hanging out but not on display.

Barbie parts, paper clay, medical tape, acrylic paint, shoe polish, functional on off switch, small vintage milk bottles, clear marbles
